SOPHIE HAFER

Vocalist, Keyboardist, and guitarist Sophie Hafer was raised in a musical household. She began playing and performing at a very young age with her father, a bluegrass player, in a small country opry in central Illinois. After many years of classical piano, she started her career as a freelance composer and arranger and attended columbia college chicago to compose for film and television. Sophie currently works full time in music licensing and has had her own music featured on networks such as MTV and paramount network. 

Sophie’s performance career took a significant leap when she joined The Chain: A Tribute to Fleetwood Mac as Christine McVie. Over the past seven years, she has performed as a vocalist and keyboardist with numerous groups across Chicago and the United States. Her notable performances include Off the Mound with Ryan Dempster, a guest appearance with Jefferson Starship, and opening for Buddy Guy with her fiancé, Zach Avery.
